About Car Domain

Car Domain is an Australian classifieds site for cars: sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, utes, wagons, coupes, convertibles, people movers, vans, cab chassis, and parts and accessories. Private sellers list their cars by the month, and dealers list their stock. We are an advertising site, not a dealer: we do not buy or sell vehicles ourselves, and every sale is between the buyer and the seller.

The 2026 rebuild

In 2026 we rebuilt Car Domain from scratch. The aims were simple:

• make it quick to search on a phone, with every make, model, category and state easy to browse
• make listing a car simple, with one clear monthly price for private sellers
• make the site safer for buyers, with every ad checked before it goes live and the details a buyer needs to check a car properly, from its kilometres to its written-off status
• give dealers proper tools, with their licence details shown the way each state requires

The articles of the earlier cardomain.com.au site have moved to the Car Domain blog, each one refreshed with its facts checked against current sources.

How the site works

Private ads cost $23 a month for Basic or $35 a month for Premium, and you can cancel at any time. Every ad is checked before it goes live, by automated checks and, where they flag something, a person, and anyone can ask for a person to review an automated decision.

Buyers contact sellers through the site, so sellers' email addresses stay private, and phone numbers are revealed one ad at a time. Damaged and written-off vehicles carry their written-off status, and the VIN is available to buyers on every damaged ad. Our safety tips explain how to check a car and its papers before you pay.

What we will not do

• Publish a count we cannot back up. The numbers on the site come from the ads on it.
• Invent reviews, testimonials, dealers or writers. Our articles and guides carry the byline Car Domain.
• Sell your personal information. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect and why.
• Link to other sites that sell cars.

Who runs it

Car Domain is owned and run by Bike Domain Pty Ltd, ACN 162 726 972. We do not publish an email address; questions, feedback and problems with an ad go through our contact form, and we reply by email.
